Personal Safety Guidelines

  1. Trust your intuition
  2. Know where you are going – Look confident
  3. Leave details of your movements
  4. In conversation do not give out personal details
  5. Keep valuables hidden – including in a car
  6. Do not carry your ‘life’ in your handbag
  7. Ensure keys and personal alarms are to hand
  8. Weapons are illegal and can be used against you
  9. A scream is a deterrent consider location. Think about carrying a whistle
  10. Check it’s a Taxi you are getting into and not just a car
  11. If you feel uneasy ask the driver to pull up
  12. If possible travel with a friend
  13. If you are last drop, call a friend when you get in
  14. Lock your car doors and windows
  15. Lock your car even if just paying for petrol
  16. If you see an accident etc. Think – Can I help?
